All custom orders are final sale. This includes any custom changes to an existing design (i.e. dimensions, colour, stone size), smaller or larger sizes than what is indicated on our website, and one-off designs.

All custom design projects typically require a minimum of 6-8 weeks to complete.

A deposit is required to commence production on all custom orders. Payment schedules can be customized based on your needs.

In the event that a customer decides not to continue to completion with a custom order once a deposit has been made, there will be no refund for work already completed up to the point of cancellation.

We provide a two-year warranty on all of our jewellery from the date of the final invoice. For custom orders, the warranty begins when the item is completed.

If any issues arise in within this period beyond normal wear and tear, we will repair your jewellery free of charge. It is your responsibility to ship and insure your jewellery to our facility. Heather Rathbun Jewellery Design will return your piece insured once repaired.

Any damage caused that is not due to a manufacturing defect is not covered under the warranty.

Items purchased beyond the warranty period, as well as damaged pieces can be repaired by Heather Rathbun Jewellery Design. Fees for this service will vary according to the extent of repair. If you need a repair, please refer to the RETURNS + REPAIRS section for more information.

Please refer to the JEWELLERY CARE page for proper handling of all our products. Failure to follow these instructions could result in the voiding of a warranty.

Returns are accepted for exchange or store credit within 60 days of receipt for an item in its original condition with original packaging. This does not include shipping costs.

All items on sale are final sale. No returns will be accepted. 

All gold orders are made to order and are not applicable for exchange. 

If an item needs to be returned for any reason other than manufacturer’s defect, all shipping fees related to the returned item are the customer’s responsibility. This includes any fees to return the item to our facility, as well as (when applicable) fees related to ship a replacement item to the customer. The customer is responsible for insuring a return. If the repair is covered under our warranty policy, the customer is responsible for shipping expenses and insurance to send the item to our facility and Heather Rathbun Jewellery Design will cover the costs to return the repaired item.

Items that have been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for store credit or exchange.

If these instructions are not followed exactly and charges are applied to Heather Rathbun Jewellery Design, the shipment will be refused and returned to the sender.

Ready-to-ship items are items listed as in stock.

Any items not listed as in stock are made to order and must be ordered before December 5th to ensure delivery before the holidays.

DECEMBER 2021 CLOSURE:

Ready-to-ship orders placed between December 23rd, 2021 - January 2nd, 2022 will ship out on January 3rd, 2022

For orders placed between these dates on items not in stock, the lead time listed will begin on January 3rd. Please refer to the lead time listed on each individual product listing.

All of our products are handcrafted and some of our pieces are made to order. Please read the specifications on each product page, indicating the specific lead time for an item not listed as in stock.

When an item is in stock, the order will be dispatched within 3 business days from the date the order is placed.

Shipping fees cover the cost of shipping and handling. For international orders (outside of Canada), items are subject to all duties and taxes imposed by your country and will be billed to you separately by the carrier. If an item needs to be returned for any reason other than manufacturer’s defect, all shipping fees related to the returned item are the customer’s responsibility.

We ship worldwide - shipping rates may vary for international orders. All taxes and duties will be the responsibility of the customer on international shipments.

Within Canada and USA: Free shipping on orders over $200.00 before taxes.

Shipping to Canada: $10.00 CDN*

Shipping to USA & Rest of North America: $20.00 CDN*

Shipping outside North America: $60.00 CDN**

*Canada and USA orders typically require 3-8 business days in transit.

**International orders typically require 5-14 business days in transit.

We use either Canada Post or Fed Ex to ship, and all packages are sent with a tracking number.

We cannot directly control delivery times, especially concerning customs clearance. If you require a faster shipping option, please contact info@heatherrathbun.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Additional shipping costs will apply.

Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced. If it has, a partial refund may be possible, depending how far along the order is.

You may cancel a web order as long as the item has not shipped. Your payment will be reimbursed minus a processing fee.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

We collect information from you when you register on our site by placing an order, subscribing to our mailing list, responding to a survey, sending a widget or blog.

Purchasing: When you make a purchase on heatherrathbun.com, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect personal information from each customer such as your name, address, email address and payment information.

Web host: Our store is hosted by Shopify. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and their general application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Heather Rathbun Jewellery Design reserves the right to refuse warranty services on any product sold, even if the product was purchased within the warranty period. Failure to follow our jewellery care instructions will void the warranty on any purchased product. Any repairs or alterations done by another jeweller within the warranty period may void the warranty.

PRICING AND SALES TAX

All prices shown on the website are in Canadian dollars (CDN). For customers residing in Canada, all prices are subject to their provinces or territories taxes. International orders are not subject to Canadian tax; however, all products are subject to all duties and taxes imposed by your country and will be billed to you separately by the carrier.
